iStopMotion
As I said we will be using the iStopMotion software which is an animation programme designed for making films using still shots. We plan on making our movie about two minutes long including the titles which will involve a hell of a lot of stills. We have set the software so that for every second of footage we have it takes 12 frames (12 stills) to produce it. In total we will probably have around 1440 stills to produce our movie. We are going to recruit seven different people to do the voiceovers for our lego characters and also may make our own background music using the garageband software.
What's it all about?
For our AS Film studies course we have the task of planning and producing a short film. It can be about absolutely anything but should be about three minutes long. We have chosen to produce a lego animation based on the popular television show 'Total Wipeout'. We will be using the Apple Macs at school and the software iStopMotion to take stills through a camera linked via firewire of the lego sets and models.
